To assist the activities Department in providing a broad assortment of activities designed to meet the needs and interests of residents of the facility.
- The Shift Leader conducts assignments as assigned by the Director of Resident Relations.
- Conducts all assignments following the activity protocol for the specific assignment.
- Assists in the development and implementation of the calendar in relation to activity starting times, dates, and events when applicable.
- Escorts/ transports residents to / from activities as assigned.
- Attends scheduled orientation and in-services programs when applicable to the Activity Program as assigned.
- Be aware of patient’s safety in all activities and comply with safety regulations and policies.
- Report all unsafe / hazardous conditions / equipment immediately
to Director of Resident Relations. - Clean up after all assigned activities, and return supplies to their original storage area.
- Comply with all infection control policies and procedures.
- Be aware of and respect resident rights.
- Maintain confidentiality of all information in regards to all residents.
- Six months Dementia experience – part activity experience
- Human Services and understanding of elders needs and interests.
